Most of the roads in the UK are free to drive on although some of Europe does have toll roads. There is a recently opened alternative to the busy M6 motorway that is in the West Midlands. This toll road allows drivers to avoid the traffic in the Birmingham area. If this is an area that you will be driving through, you might want to consider it. The UK roadways are always being improved so that visitors like you will be able to drive on up-to-date roads.
